Clara Louise Staed

Louise Staed, 94, passed away in Jacksonville, FL on Wednesday, January 8, 2014. She was born November 26, 1919 to Dennis and Eva May Riggs in Jacksonville, FL. Louise was a waitress for 40 years. She loved to travel, knit, cook and did catering for many years, serving others especially her family. She is preceded in death by her husband John, brothers Raymond Riggs (Joyce), Bill Riggs (Ann), Dennis Riggs, David Riggs, sisters Lavaughn Lord (Charlie), Irene Skipper (Tom), Eva Mae Combs (Eldred), Doris Combs (Ed), Naomi Lowery (Benny) and Deloris Sammut. Louise is survived by one daughter Pat Turner (Fred), brothers Bobby Riggs, Jimmy Riggs (Joyce), sister Ramona Deen, sister-in-law Darlene Riggs, two grandchildren, five great grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren as well as many, many nieces and nephews and special friend Marjorie McDuffie. A special thanks to all who visited during her long illness. Arrangements under the care of Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. A visitation will be held for family and friends on Monday, January 13, 2014 in the chapel from 6:00-8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers you can donate to No More Homeless Pets or charity of your choice. Funeral services will be held at Lane Avenue Church of God, 2956 Lane Avenue North, Jacksonville, FL 32254 on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
