Clarine A. Timmons, 73, loving wife, mother, grandmother & great-grandmother, was called home to our Lord on 2/19/2011. She made her journey to heaven, surrounded by her family and friends. Clarine was born in Douglas, Ga to Velma and Jimmy Lee Anderson on 9/28/1937.
Clarine met the love of her life, James, on Valentine’s Day, and they have been married for 57 years. Clarine was an accomplished seamstress who owned and operated “Clarine’s Hangups” for many years. Clarine was pre-deceased by her mother, father, brother, John Henry and sister, Jeanette. She is survived by her loving husband, James, sons Mark (Pam), Barry (Kathy), Keith (Becky), 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, sister Elizabeth (Jessie), and many other relatives and friends. Vigil service will be held on Tuesday, February 22, from 6-8 pm at Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 1773 Blanding Blvd, on Wednesday, February 23, at 2pm. Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Clarine’s name to Catholic Charities, 134 E Church St, Jacksonville, FL 32202.
