Claudette S. Lindsey

Claudette S. Lindsey, age 84, of Jacksonville, Florida went to be with the Lord on Wednesday November 25, 2015 at 4:27 pm. She was a resident of Brooks Bartram Crossing at the time of her death. Claudette was born February 20, 1931 in Brookhaven, Mississippi. She was a long time resident of Butler, Alabama where she worked in the school system. She was active in her church and community. After retirement, she and her husband, Arthur D. Lindsey moved to Mobile, Alabama where again they involved themselves in church and community. Upon moving to Jacksonville she became a member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville as a shut in. She was loved, admired, respected, and appreciated by her family and friends. Claudette was preceded in death by her husband Arthur D. Lindsey and grandson Jason Dwight Lindsey. Claudette will be missed dearly by her loving children Reeta Lindsey Padgett (Jim Padgett), E. Dwight Lindsey (Brenda Johnson Lindsey), Danny Robbie Lindsey (Beth Taylor Lindsey); grandchildren Sondra Davidson, Nichole Smith(David Smith) Keisha Bruce (Tim Bruce), Brittany Lindsey, Lara Lindsey Westbrook (Cody Westbrook) ; great grandchildren Jamie, Elijah, Lindsey, Annabelle, Madeline, Noah, Charity, Aiden, Zoe, Hunter. Family will receive friends and family 6:00 – 8:00 pm Monday November 30, 2015 at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, www.townandcountryfuneralhome.com . Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday December 1, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will be 2:00 pm at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
