Clyde Alvin Chester, 90 passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Penney Retirement Community, Penney Farms, FL. He was born February 4, 1924 in Jacksonville, FL. Clyde retired from the City of Jacksonville and CSX (Seaboard) Railroad in Jacksonville. He was in the U.S. Army and a veteran of WWII. Clyde was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Keystone Heights and Masonic Lodge Cabul #116. He is survived by his wife of over 70 years, Thelma L. Chester, three sons Fred (Julianne) Chester, Jim (Susan) Chester, David (Carol) Chester, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Arrangements under the care of Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 28, 2014 from 6:00-8:00pm in the visitation room. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 3:30pm at Riverside Memorial Park. Reverend James Peoples officiating.
