Connie was married to James Cloer on May 14, 1955. They raised one daughter, Jennie Lynn and one son, Jerry Ardell. Connie, as she was known, was born on June 15, 1936 in Monteagle, Tennessee (Grundy County) to Pearl and Morgan Conry. After high school Connie went to business school. She married James who had joined the Navy. Connie stayed home to raise their two children. Even though life was very hard, she was a very proud woman and took great pride in being a Navy wife. Connie was known for her love of knitting and crocheting, and was exceptionally skilled. She also loved antiquing and was especially fond of the Christmas holidays, working extra hard to make it a special time for both her immediate and extended family.
Connie is preceded in death by her husband James, who passed away February 25th of this year, her mother, Pearl and her father, Morgan, and brother Buford. She is survived by her two children, Jennie (Jerry) and Jerry (Paula), her three grandchildren Jason, Larissa and Christa, and five great-grandchildren, Addison, Aspen, Haven, Voltaire and Tesla.
A Visitation will be held at 10:00am, followed by Funeral Services at 11:00 am, Friday, March 29, 2019, and will be held at Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225. Graveside services will follow at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens. Arrangements are under the care of Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills, 850 St. Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225.
