Daphne E. Walker

Daphne Elouise Walker, 96 years old, of Jacksonville, FL passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on June 6, 2025, at 5:40 p.m. she was reunited with her dear husband of 55 years, Randall Walker, Sr.

Born in Jacksonville, FL on December 27, 1928, Daphne was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend. She taught her family to love many things, but some of the most important was to love Jesus and to stay close as a family. She also taught us to love the Great Smoky Mountains and to always be ready for a game of cards.

Daphne is survived by her loving children Randall Walker, Rodney Walker, Denese Walker Devereaux (Donnie) and Rudy Walker (Joann). She is also survived by her sister Boots Wallace (98), 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren, known to all of them as “Nannie”.

A visitation for Daphne will be held Thursday, June 12, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A celebration of life will occur Friday, June 13, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Jones Road Baptist Church, 2506 Jones Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32220. Followed by a committal service at Westview Cemetery in Jacksonville, Florida.
