David Wayne Walker passed Monday, January 5, 2015 at the age of 66 at his home in Melrose, Florida. He was born on October 17, 1948 in Jacksonville Florida to Milton and Ethel Walker. David was a hardworking roofer for over 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, watching football, wrestling and living in the country. David is survived by his children Kimberly Hodges and Darrell Walker, grandchildren Corey, Krista, Morgan, Shana, Haley and his great grandchildren Kira and Kaiden. He is also survived by his siblings, Ronald, Cathy, Marie, Charles and Ray. He leaves behind Payton and many other loving family members and longtime friends. He is predeceased by his parents Milton and Ethel Walker, sister Iva Jean and brothers Jerry and Clarence. David was a loving father, grandfather and friend to all that knew him. His generosity and kindness toward others will not be forgotten. Funeral services will be held on Friday January 9, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at Blanding Boulevard Baptist Church, 5005 Blanding Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32210, with Pastor David Adair officiating. The viewing will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m., prior to the service. David will be laid to rest at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
