Debbie was born to the late Gene Bogert and Arlene Emeigh, on July 10, 1955, in Dearborn, MI. She was raised by the late David Emeigh after the early passing of her biological father. Debbie grew up in a military family and lived in various states before her family settled in Neptune Beach, Florida.
Debbie was a loving, devoted mother who raised her only child to be a strong, independent woman. Debbie married the love of her life, George Amann, in 1999. As a family they made a home together in Atlantic Beach, FL. Debbie always enjoyed nature and could usually be found in her yard planting a garden or a flower bed. She enjoyed trips to the mountains and to the beaches. Debbie and George spent many days together soaking up the sun and fishing until sunset. She was a proud, dedicated grandmother who always extended her love and support and she left each of her grandchildren with many teachings and memories to cherish. Debbie was a faithful Christian, relying heavily on God to get her through the challenging times in her life.
Debbie is survived by her husband, George Amann, her daughter Rebecca Lopez-Rodriguez (John Rodriguez), and her four beloved grandchildren: Isabella Lopez, Lillian Lopez, Evan Rodriguez, and David Rodriguez. Debbie is also survived by her sister Nancy Burns and brother Ricky Bogert. She was predeceased by her parents, Gene Bogert, and David & Arlene Emeigh.
Family and friends will celebrate the life of Debbie on Saturday April 27, 2019. A visitation/viewing ceremony will take place at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home at 12:00 pm; the funeral will take place at 1:00 pm, followed by the burial at 2:00 pm.
