Della Jeannette Mazerolle Nickel, 68, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born April 25, 1946 to Alfred and Levina Mazerolle in St. Leonard, Canada. Della loved to make crafts and was an avid reader who read spiritual, Christian books. She was an excellent cook and loved to decorate her house, especially at Christmas. Della is preceded in death by her brothers Gerry Mazerolle, Joe Mazerolle, Lorn Mazerolle, and Don Mazerolle. She is survived by her husband Kurt of 47 years; her last surviving sibling Noelle Bombardier and her husband Tom Jacobs; her loving nieces; Brigitte Bombardier, Danielle Cole, Tresa Della Calfee, Renee Spooner, nephews; Curtis Mazerolle, Marc Mazerolle, Michael Mazerolle and their supportive spouses. Arrangements under the care of Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 10-11am at Good Shepherd Church, 6551 Argyle Forest Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32244. Funeral services to follow at 11am with interment at Riverside Memorial Park.
