

Delores (Dee) Ann Denmark passed away on January 31, 2019 at Acosta-Rua Center for Caring Jacksonville Community Hospice on Ramona Boulevard, succumbing to her cancer battle. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Foy and Edna Lucille Denmark; and three brothers Edwin, Tommy and Robert Denmark.
She is survived by two sisters, Norma Powell (John) and Gail Bradstreet (Mike); as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, and all who knew her loved her and will miss her dearly.
She was born on July 24, 1939 in Jacksonville, Florida and graduated from Paxon High School. She retired from Prudential Insurance Company. She was a member of Rise Church (formerly Macedonia Baptist Church) on Lenox Ave.
‘Dee’ will always be remembered for her sweet smile and servant heart, whether she was welcoming those attending Rise Church, making blankets for Hospice patients in her church sewing group, or taking mission trips and traveling across the country.
A visitation will take place on Monday February 4, 2019 at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at Rise Church on Tuesday February 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a graveside at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park on Normandy Blvd.
