

Demetria was born in Kawit, Cavite, Philippines on June 21, 1927 to the late Mariano Buenaventura and Balbina Magtuloy. She was a housewife and mother of 11 children. In 1979, Demetria migrated to Honolulu Hawai’i joining her husband Primo, daughter Erlinda and her family. A year later, they all moved to Jacksonville, Florida where Demetria lived the rest of her life. Demetria loved her family and was the glue that binded everyone together. She was a second mother to most her grandchildren who she also helped raise. Demetria had a great sense of humor, loved to laugh and make others laugh.
She is survived by her children, Fenita N. Albay (Ernesto Sr), Erlinda N. Alamo (Hermogenes d.), Rodel Nazareno (Marinela), Noralyn N. Reyes (Dr. Cayetano Sr), Primo B Nazareno Jr (Teresita), Cris Nazareno (Elena), Elenita N. Bongayan (Rodel), Arnel Nazareno (Marilou), 24 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Primo Nazareno Sr, children Conception Nazareno, Edilberto Nazareno, Ronaldo Nazareno and grandson Roelle Bongayan.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017 in Chapel Hills Funeral Home from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. with prayers and a memorial service beginning at 7:00p.m.
