Lyndia Dianne "DD" Edenfield, a beloved matriarch and beacon of divine grace, was called to her eternal home on February 7, 2024, at the age of 79. Born on July 21, 1944, in Jacksonville, Florida, DD's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and boundless love. She was a classy, elegant, sassy diva who was loved by all who met her.
DD's radiant spirit and fiery red hair were a symbol of the warmth and light she brought into the lives of those around her. Her elegance and poise were matched only by her class and profound respect for all of God's creation. She embraced her role as a wife, mother, and DD with a selfless heart, embodying the virtues of the Proverbs 31 woman.
In every action and through every challenge, DD remained steadfast in her devotion to her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her life was a living presentation of love and devotion to her family and friends. DD was a “take charge” lady who loved to entertain and provide for others “V.I.P.” treatment. The peace that filled her soul in her final moments was a reflection of her deep trust in the Lord's promise of eternal life.
DD's legacy of love and leadership endures in her cherished family. She is survived by her son Tres Edenfield (Jesse), daughters Callie Murphy (Todd), Susan Bossiere (Marc), and Cheryl Godwin (Jack), and sister Susan Stone (Brooks), along with her treasured grandchildren Kaleigh Jeans (Mason), Kathryn, Ruby, Reid, Nora, Michael, Madison, Jackie (Chuck) and extended family who walked the path of life with her.
She was reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Earl E. Edenfield Jr, her son Michael Edenfield, her parents Reid and Doris Davis, and her sister Gail Zimmerman—all of whom had previously been called to their heavenly reward.
As a tribute to DD's compassionate spirit, those wishing to honor her memory may contribute to The American Cancer Society. Her family expresses deep gratitude for the outpouring of love and prayers during this time of both mourning and celebration for a life beautifully lived and a soul joyously received into the Kingdom of Heaven.
