Don attended Elementary and junior high in Arlington and graduated from Terry Parker class of 79. After receiving a scholarship to the play football, he left for Tennessee to play for University of Tennessee at Martin. He left Tennessee and moved to Orlando to continue to play for UCF. He eventually moved back to Jacksonville to pursue his dream of becoming a gym owner. With the help of his friend Scott, they soon were learning how to weld and eventually started building gym equipment. Soon Bailey’s Gym was born as well as RAGEOUS Bodybuilding Equipment. Later on in years, his brother, David, joined us and soon after, his brother Darryl closed the circle. The rest is our story, his story and all those who walked through a Bailey’s Gym door.
Don is preceded in death by his sister, Denise Bailey and his mother, Dian.
He is survived by his father, Don Sr, his beloved wife of 37 years, Michele, daughters, Erin (Johny), Dayna and precious granddaughter, Rori Jane, brothers, Darryl (Renee) and David. As well as many aunts, uncles and cousins and in laws. He leaves behind a legacy and will be forever missed.
The husband was a kind, humble man, who put his family first and foremost. He loved the Lord, he loved a good workout and he loved to call it a day, shut the world out and come home. We love you and will forever miss you.
The family would also like to invite everyone unable to attend the service to join us by watching the livestream. Please attend with the following link; https://www.facebook.com/FortCarolineChristianChurch/
