Donald "Don" Boston Sr.

Donald “Don” Lee Boston, Sr., age 74, of Jacksonville, FL passed away on March 24, 2023. Don was born in Jacksonville, FL on July 27, 1948 to Hugh Boston and Amy Leona Mosley. He was in the United States Army, Spec. 4, 52nd Infantry during the Vietnam War, from 1968 through 1970 where he was a machine gunner on Armored personnel carrier for the 11th Armored Calgary Regiment.

After his stint in the US Army, he married Judy Harper on December 11, 1971 and had a career with the City of Jacksonville as a printing supervisor. He attended 103rd Street Church of God.

Surviving Don is his loving wife of over 51 years, Judy Boston; son, Donnie Boston, Jr. (Milissa); son, Chris Boston (Rebecca); grandchildren, Austin Boston, Katlyn Boston, Cassidy (Curtis) Mosley and Kristyn (Dalton) Welborn; siblings, Hugh (Judy) Boston, Hazel (Ron) Smith, and Ray (Becky) Boston; and also three great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his father, Hugh Nathan Boston; mother, Amy Leona Mosley Boston; and sibling Roger Boston.

A visitation for Don will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 5pm to 7pm at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.

A graveside service will occur on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
