Donald Waynne Wilds, age 74, went to be with the Lord on December 13, 2023 in Jacksonville, FL with his family by his bedside. He was born in Jacksonville on July 12, 1949 to Nathaniel M. Wilds and Bertha L. Wilds.
He graduated from Paxon High School in 1967 and married Karen Lee on August 8, 1968. Donald worked as an Aircraft Electrician, Estimator and Planner at NADEP, Naval Air Station Jacksonville. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and also really enjoyed spending time at his cabin in Tennessee. He was a member at Westside Baptist Church in Jacksonville.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Karen Wilds; two sons, David Wilds and wife Leigh and Cory Wilds and fiance Cat; two sisters, Wanda Prevatt and Rosemary Herbsleb.
Preceded in death by his father, Nathaniel Wilds and mother, Bertha Wilds.
A visitation for Donald will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 12:00 PM, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A committal service will occur Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
