Doris Osterheldt Cass

In 1954 she married Wendell and they move to Jacksonville, FL in 1957 and raised 2 daughters. After the passing of her husband (1990), she went to community college in her 60’s and took writing classes “just for fun”. She was known to write poems for family, friends, and even those she barely knew.

She is survived by her 2 daughters Marylea (Pat) and Wendy (Daryl); 3 grandchildren Jennifer (Tom), Jonathan (Leigh) and Loren; her 6 great grandchildren Carson, Caiden, Tenley, Teagan, Brayden and Paige. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

There will be a viewing on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. and funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, 4275 Herschel Street, Jacksonville, FL 32205 with Rev. Dr. Jonathan Lovelady officiating. Interment following the service at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205.

Flowers and/or memorial contributions can be made to Community Hospice and Palliative Care or St. John’s Presbyterian Church, either are equally welcome.
