Dorothy J. Price, 82, passed away February 10, 2013. She was born to the late Rovina and James Gainey on April 7, 1930 in Dunn, NC. She graduated from Dunn High School and worked for Rosenblumes for 25 years. She attended Good News Baptist Church in Jacksonville.
She is predeceased by her husband Ralph W Price, Jr., sisters Blanche Partin (Leo), Octavia Neighbors (Joe) and Ceil Majors (Melvin), brother Bill Gainey.
Family members include her son Larry V. Price (Kathy), daughter Debra P. James (Huey), grandson Jason James (Anne-Marie), granddaughters, Melissa Vander Heyden (Patrick), Nicole Jackson (Donnie) and Jessica Price, greatgrandsons, Austin James, Justin James, Owen James, Connor Vander Heyden and Logan Jackson, great-granddaughter, Breanne Vander Heyden.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd N., Jacksonville, www.hardage-giddenschapelhills.com.
Interment will follow in Chapel Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
