Earl Charles Kirkland, Jr., 84 of Jacksonville, FL passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 5, 2017. Charles was born in Jacksonville, FL on Nov. 27, 1932. Charles married Jeanette Sheffield on Dec. 6, 1958. Charles worked for Peninsular Warehousing and Service Corp. International. Charles had a deep passion for guitar picking, loved and collected model trains and antique trucks.
Charles is survived by his wife, Jeanette; 2 sons; E Keith Kirkland (Sheila), Kevin R. Kirkland (Brenda); 3 grandchildren; Kandice B. Kirkland, Ryan K. Kirkland, Rachel A Kirkland; and 3 siblings; brother – Robert Kirkland; sisters, Nancy Wilson and Barbara Tipton.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, Mar 8, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205 (904) 781-9262.
A funeral service will be conducted to celebrate Charles Kirkland’s life at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Evangel Temple Assembly of God, 5755 Ramona Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205.
