Edna Irene Carroll Johnson was surrounded by family when she passed away Feb. 28, 2017. Mrs. Johnson was born May 27, 1921, in Parkerville, GA. She was one of six children born to John and Julia Carroll. Mrs. Johnson loved her family dearly. For 25 years she worked as a Manager at Diana Shop. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She also taught ladies Sunday School class for several years at Ramona Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, John H. Johnson, and her son, Wayne Johnson. She is survived by her daughters Brenda (Wayne) Byrd and Barbara (Ed) White; her daughter-in-law Pat (Wayne) Johnson; her grandchildren Michele (Bryan) Green, Wayne “Buddy” Johnson (Laurie), Pam (Mike) Muldoon, and Ron (Melinda) White; her sister Vicie Thornhill; and seven great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home is serving the family. The family will receive friends for a viewing at 2 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2017. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. with interment at Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to a charity of your choice or any hospice.
