Born on December 24, 1932 (YES Christmas Eve) she was raised.by her parents, Theresa and Henry Byrnes in Jackson Heights, New York. She lived in Commack, NY where she earned her degree in nursing and worked for the state of NY in the healthcare field. She retired to Ponte Vedra, Florida in 1987.
Betty is predeceased by her daughter Claire Sheehan, and survived by daughters Elaine (Donald) Knecht, and Carol Sheehan. Betty had five grandchildren, including Michael (Alicia)Sheehan whom she helped raise and nine great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held in the future.
