I knew Ms. Leck as Ms. Judah, my girl scout leader from 1967-1969. Being a street smart kid from New Jersey, believe me, she had her hands full! She took us camping and taught us to be strong women. I'll never forget those times or her. I met her step daughter Jane, 50 years later, as we both lived in the same senior apartments and to my joy, I found out Ms. Judah was still with us! That Thanksgiving, Jane invited me to her brother Jerry's for dinner and Ms. Judah attended. I cried and hugged her so tight. I thanked her for all she did for us girls. I recited the Girl Scout Code. As the evening came to a close, we joined hands again and sang the second verse from Taps, as we did all those years ago.
Day is done, gone the sun
From the lakes, from the hills, from the sky
All is well, safely rest;
God is nigh.
Now, I sing the last verse, in honor this great lady, Ms Judah.
Then goodnight, peaceful night;
Till the light of the dawn shineth bright.
God is near, do not fear,
Goodnight my dear Ms. Judah. Sleep well until we meet again.

So very sorry to lose Ms. Liz. She was a great neighbor and a good friend, and I will miss sharing her stories of her childhood and her family. She always wore a smile and never a bad word about anyone. A truly beautiful soul that we will all miss greatly.
