

Elizabeth Mae Driggers Scott went home to her Lord on November 7, 2012, surrounded by her family. The blessing of her sweet smile will be carried in the hearts and memories of all those who knew her. Born in Savannah, GA on December 26, 1922, she lived most of her life in Jacksonville.She is survived by her beloved husband of 71 years, Ocie Lee, daughter Shirley DaPra (Charles), sister Jeanette Kalkines, sister-in-law Caroline Driggers, grandchildren Charles Scott DaPra (Dawn), Beth Anne Rahn, Rodney Shawn Scott and Patrick Duane Scott (Lisa), four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many friends. Uma, as she was lovingly known to her great grandchildren, was met at Heaven’s gates by son Rodney Lee Scott. Mom loved the Lord with all her heart and faithfully served Him. She had the gift to meet the needs of her family before we knew we had a need. The holidays were made exciting by her keen wit and sense of fun. Her children rise up and call her blessed. The family expresses deep appreciation to the staff of Community Hospice N.E. for their compassionate and tender care of our dear Mother. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider making a donation to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida. Family will receive friends from at 10:00-11:00 am Monday, November 12, 2012 at Park Lane Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow visitation at 11:00 am.
