Ellis Quintin Manucy, Sr., age 69, passed away May 21, 2020 at his home in Jacksonville, Florida. Ellis was born in Jacksonville on July 15, 1950. Ellis graduated from Robert E. Lee High School, and completed training as an electrical apprentice, journeyman electrician, and master electrician, He was married to Elizabeth Gilliam Manucy on June 6, 1970. Ellis proudly served in the United States Navy, and was a Master Chief in the US Navy Reserves. His passions in life were many, but he loved playing the guitar. Ellis was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother; he will be deeply and sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
Ellis is survived by his loving and faithful wife, Elizabeth Manucy; his sons Ellis Quintin Manucy, Jr. (Teresa), Andrew Edwin Manucy (Jessica), and Matthew James Manucy; grandchildren Grace, Paul, Rachel, Madelyn, and William; and six brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services for the family will be held on Monday, May 25, 2020 at noon at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205. The family will gather beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Riverside Memorial Park.
