Ernest Joseph, 88, of Jacksonville, Florida went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 6, 2011. Ernest is preceded by his wife Vinnie Mae Clark of 50 years of marriage. Ernest was born in Napoleonville, Louisiana. He joined the United States Navy in 1945 at the age of 23. As a world traveler he always called New Orleans home. Ernest is preceded by his wife Vinnie Mae; son Lionel Joseph. Ernest is survived by his sons; Ernest Joseph Jr.( Peggy), of Detroit, Michigan , Jarry Joseph of New Orleans, and Mark Joseph of Alexandria, Louisiana; Daughters; Doris Joseph, of Vallejo, California ,Unlanders Joseph of Bryon, Georgia , and Cynthia Joseph of Jacksonville. Florida. Grandsons;DeMarcus Moss, Gregory O’Gwinn Jr. , and Lionel R. Simms, III. Ernest will be remembered for his passion of crawfish boils and being the family’s best BBQ chef. His love of family, baseball, and the New Orleans Saints; while enjoying a good cigar and fine spirits will always be remembered.
