She graduated high school and then attended secretarial school. After moving to Jacksonville, she became a member of Murray Hill Baptist Church and worked at Ivy’s Department Store as a seamstress, making custom drapes. Esther resided in Callahan, Florida for 25 years and became a member of Live Oak Baptist Church in Callahan.
Predeceased by her husband, Clyde A. Thomas, Sr.; sons, Clyde A. Thomas, Jr. and Robert G. Thomas.
Surviving family includes siblings, Ana (Annie) Moreno, Joseph Munoz and Antonio (Tony) Munoz; grandchildren, Brandon (Erin) Thomas, Jason Thomas, Brett (Cindy) Thomas, Jennifer Thomas; great-grandchildren, Ella Thomas, Ryan Thomas, Harper Thomas, Braiden Thomas and Boone Thomas.

A Graveside service is scheduled to take place at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park, located at 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL, 32205, United States. The service will be held on January 16, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
