Faye Rakestraw, 73, passed away unexpectedly from this life June 22, 2010 to be in the loving arms of her Heavenly Father. Faye was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend that touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Hajjar (husband Mike), and four granddaughters: Renee Hajjar, Kristen Hajjar-Dawkins (Theo), Lexi Rakestraw and Linzy Rakestraw. Faye is also survived by her sister, Sharon Rutson (Rock), and her brother, Jim Bryant (Babs), and a host of nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Julian Rakestraw (2005) and her son, Mike Rakestraw (2009).
Services will be held Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Kernan Blvd. Baptist Church. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 1PM-2PM, with services beginning at 2PM. Services will be conducted by her friend and Pastor William Crook. Arrangements under the direction of Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, Jacksonville, FL.
