Florence Nell Markham

Florence Nell Markham, age 84, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020. Florence was born April 21, 1936 to Etta Belle and Caleb Wesley Halley and along with 2 sisters and 4 brothers grew up in Blountstown, FL. She married Gerald Phillip Markham on January 28, 1956.

Florence had worked in a supervisory position at Sears for a number of years. Crocheting, needlepoint, sewing and cooking were a few of her favorite things to do as well as spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years Gerald Phillip Markham; sons James Gregory Markham, Steven Allen Markham, Richard Vinson Markham; daughter Melody Ann Markham Nolan; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and sister Neta Gwen Wheeler.

A Visitation for Florence will be held Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 11:00 am at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida 32205 with Funeral Services beginning at 12:00 pm. The Graveside Service will follow the Funeral Service at Riverside Memorial Park with the Reverends James Hull and Michael Coward officiating.
