

Frances Vinetta Turner, lovingly known as “Vi,” passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on February 13, 2026, at Wells Crossing Life Care Center, where she had been compassionately cared for over the past five years.
Vi was born on May 3, 1956, in Chattanooga, TN, and was raised in Jacksonville, the city she proudly called home. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and went on to work for many years in the loan department at Bank of America. A courageous brain cancer survivor, Vi demonstrated remarkable strength and resilience throughout her life.
She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially reading, playing computer games, and watching television. Vi will be remembered for her warm spirit, enduring faith, and the love she shared with family and friends.
She is survived by her sisters, Dana Lynn Turner and Susan Daniels of Jacksonville, Florida; her brother, Ronald Eugene Turner of Nashville; her aunt, Luella Lambert of Soddy-Daisy; her godmother, Margaret Daniels of Jacksonville, Florida; and many beloved nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Lewis Turner; her mother, Doris Routt Turner; her brothers, Edward L. Turner and C. Scott Turner; and her sisters, Joyce A. McClendon and Linda S. Snell.
A graveside service will be conducted at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Funeral Home & Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida, on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Jared Mathison.
