He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on June 11, 1926 and moved to Jacksonville from New York. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, was a lifetime member of the VFW and attended Episcopal Church of the Redeemer.
Family members include his loving wife of 66 years Margaret H. Fisher, sons John Fisher and Frank (Louise) Fisher, sister Mary Fedick, grandchildren Laura (Matt) Farber and Frank Michael Fisher, one great grandson Spencer Farber. He was predeceased by his mother and step-father, Jessie and Murray Wittichen brother and sister.
