Franklin Douglas Madigan

Mr. Madigan PROUDLY served for 23+ years in the US Navy, retiring in October 1983 as Sr Chief Petty Officer. He earned many medals and commendations, but his Shipmate friendships made during this time were held close to his heart throughout his entire life.

He then was employed by the State of Florida, retiring after 25 years. His goal was to help veterans find meaningful employment.

Mr. Madigan is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn. Married in 1981, she was his truest blessing and forever the “Wind beneath his Wings”.

Along with Evelyn, he is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Dale Madigan; his brother Gary Madigan; and his sister Maureen Haseltine.

Mr. Madigan is survived by his brother, Timmy Madigan, as well as his five children - daughters : Kim Fontaine (Jim) and Sigrid Wallace (Frank). Sons: George Smith ( Belinda), E. Brian Stevens (Darlene) and Keith Stevens (Pam), with grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held for both Frank & Evelyn Madigan on Monday, July 11th at Hardage- Giddens Riverside. 7242 Normandy Blvd 32205. Public viewing will be at 12:00p.m. Funeral service at 1:00p.m.

and then to the Jacksonville National Cemetery with Military Honors.
