Gabrielle was a graduate of Englewood High School, class of 2013. She, like the rest of her family, was a geek at heart. A lover of all things theme park related, sci-fi, board and card games, crocheting, her pets, and her family and friends. She was a Star Wars and Harry Potter aficionado who could exchange facts and trivia with the most knowledgeable of experts. She lived for her weekends playing Dungeons & Dragons, Magic the Gathering and Pathfinder with her friends. During family time and holidays there was always lively gameplay: Uno, Phase10, Dominoes, and her recently discovered, favorite Hues and Clues. She loved the animal members of the family: Nessie, Stanley, Mace, Yoda, and Scrappy; and was always the first to volunteer to care for Mace, Yoda, or Scrappy when needed.
Gabrielle was preceded in passing by her grampy, William O’Brien, and is survived by her mother, Brady O’Brien and Kyle Lamirande, grandmother, Kathy O’Brien, uncle, Sean O’Brien, nephews Will and Sam O’Brien, an extended family that stretches from Florida to Maine and all parts in-between, her “sisters” Kylee Selph and Kirsten Fawcett, and numerous friends who were as close to her as family.
A celebration of life will be held at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, on May 21, 2024 from 6-8 pm. In honor of Gabs please wear your favorite Star Wars, Harry Potter, D&D, etc attire. In place of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Gabrielle’s favorite charity, the Jacksonville Humane Society.
Gabrielle loved spending time with her family and friends going to Disney and Universal, playing
games, or simply hanging out. Please help keep her memory alive by continuing to do the things she loved doing with each one of you. Remember, wands at the ready, may the force be with you, and here's to rolling a natural 20. Always.
