Geneva Southall Brown, age 98, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024. Geneva was first of all a true daughter of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was an exceptional loving wife and mother. She served her days as a homemaker to her husband, children, and grandchildren. Geneva attended Kings Road Baptist Church for most of her life and has a loving church family.
Geneva is predeceased by her husband of 51 years, William Brown, Sr.; daughter, Betty Jean Gillis; and her granddaughter, Brandy Brown. She is survived by her son, William Brown, Jr.; daughter, Sandra Spicer; son-in-law, Rick Spicer; grandchildren Michael Brown, Ashley Lloyd, Evelyn Arnold, and Christopher Arnold; and two great-grandchildren Waylon and Peyton.
A visitation for Geneva will be held Friday, June 14, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Lee Whitaker will serve as officiant.
