George was a veteran of The U.S. Navy and retired civil engineer with the U.S. Air Force. He was a faithful lifelong member of The Salvation Army and until his health started failing him, George was very active in The Salvation Army Homeless Feeding Program and Emergency Disaster Services. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at The Salvation Army, 15 E. Church St., Jacksonville, FL, officiated by Major Eugene Gesner on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Salvation Army Homeless Ministries, PO Box 52508, Jacksonville, FL 32202-2508. HARDAGE-GIDDENS, RIVERSIDE MEMORIAL PARK AND FUNERAL HOME, 7242 Normandy Boulevard is serving the family.
