When talking with Ben this week, he shared that he shot his first gun and went to the range for the first time, with Mr Glenn and Kyle.  He said he could not imagine what possessed me to allow him to go to a gun range and shoot- unsupervised by me.  :-)  I told him that I never worried or was concerned when he was with Glenn.  Glenn was the calmest, most even keeled person that would not panic, no matter what the situation.  And I also knew that he would not do anything that would put Kyle at risk and would lookout the same for him and would be protective and cautious, while letting them be boys. :-)   
Glenn was a wonderful, kind and caring man.  He had a gentle spirit and I believe animals and children knew they could trust him and he would look over them.  
There are so many other stories about his kindness- Glenn was just one of a kind.  May heaven be more glorious than you could ever imagine and may you smile your quiet smile as you continue to look over and protect your family from above.

Saddened to hear of the passing of my longtime veterinarian and friend, Glenn. He was more than a great vet—he was a true lover of animals who treated every one of them with kindness, compassion, and care. He will be deeply missed by the many people and animals whose lives he touched.

Dr. Davis was the kindest boss I think I have ever had. It was thanks to Debbie that I even applied to Hidden Hills in the first place. I was in a Bible study with Debbie and a few other girls. I expressed to Debbie that I have always wanted to work for animals and she told me to apply. I started out in the kennel, then technician, then receptionist. 

Although the job could be difficult at times Dr. Davis always brought the joy to work. He was always so kind, down to earth and funny. 

I have so many memories of working with Dr. Davis but by far my favorite was when he let me keep our hospital cat cinders there for a year. I got one of Dr. Davis rooms and someone said they didn’t want their cat anymore. I went straight to Dr. Davis and asked “can we please keep her? I promise I will take her home.” He just smiled and said yes. Even though it took me a year to get my first apartment. He helped me get cinders fixed and her skin condition clear. I still have her today and she is happy and healthy because of him. 

Another memory that I loved was when he found a dog on his property. If I remember right I think he nicknamed her Millie. She was the sweetest thing! He brought her into work from time to time. I know me and a couple of my coworkers at the time would put her up in the reception area just like we used to do with scooter. On my lunch break I would take Millie out on walks when I could. Sneak her treats and give her extra love. Dr. Davis would tell us that we were spoiling her, but we all knew that he loved that she was getting spoiled. 

Like I said I have so many fun and fond memories working with Dr. Davis I could type out a lot, I’m sure all my old colleagues could do the same but one thing is for sure. Dr. Davis will definitely be missed, he was by far my favorite veterinarian. There will never be another Dr. Davis.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Dr. Davis was the kindest man. I always enjoyed working for him-he was always so very kind. I strive to bring his caring, kind attitude to my work every day. He was truly an inspiration to us all. Keeping your sweet family in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Dear Debbie and Glenn's family,

I was so saddened to learn of Glenn's passing, and I know this loss leaves a huge void for all who loved him. My thoughts are with you as you navigate these difficult days.

Glenn's presence in Jacksonville touched so many​ people and animals. He took care of my Major when he got cancer and helped him live another four years. I know his memory will continue to bring comfort and warmth to everyone who was lucky enough to know him. I hope the outpouring of love and support from family and friends brings you some peace during this time.

I'll be thinking of you all at the Celebration of Life on September 12th, and I'll be holding Glenn and your family close in my heart.
