Denny “Glenn” Hamilton, Jr., born December 4, 1956 in Panama City, Florida, died on August 28, 2017 in Jacksonville, Florida. He is predeceased by his parents, Glenn Hamilton and Virginia Abernathy; and his granddaughter, Brooklyn Hope. Denny is survived by his children, Denny Hamilton, Ginger (Greg) Skidmore, Ashley (Derek) Chavis, Cody Hamilton, and Kayla Hamilton; siblings, Jimmy (Teresa) Hamilton, Debbie (Jim) Dixon, and Denise (Phillip) Oakley; 2 granddaughters; 5 grandsons; 1 great-granddaughter; 3 nephews; 4 nieces; 7 great-nephews; and 3 great-nieces.
Some hobbies and passions of Denny included traveling, riding motorcycles and listening to country music. Everyone knew him as a free spirit.
Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205. The funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at the funeral home, followed by entombment at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park.
