Gloria A. Kirby, 79, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on December 27, 2018 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center (Community Hospice). She was born in Macon, Georgia on December 6, 1939 and was the daughter of the late William and Eugenia Elkins. Gloria was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved her family and was always willing to help anyone in need.
Gloria was predeceased by her husband, Roy A. Kirby; son, Roy A. Kirby, Jr.; and by her two brothers, Ronald Elkins and Earl Elkins. She is survived by her daughter, Veronica (Prentice) McDaniel; grandson, Matthew McDaniel; and two great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 Saint Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, Florida 32225. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity.
