

Glynn Alan Carter, 71 of Jacksonville, Florida passed away peacefully on February 10, 2025, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born January 8, 1954 in Aiken, South Carolina to Dick and Terresa Carter.
Glynn married the love of his life and best friend, Brenda McIntosh, on October 14, 1978. Together, they had 2 children, Mindy and Charles. He had four beautiful grandchildren, Reagan, Lila, Colton, and Gunner that he loved spending time with. He was a faithful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many.
He worked in the Automotive Paint & Body industry for over thirty years. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, where he served with Brenda in the 4 year old department for 18 years.
He loved spending time with his family, going on fun vacations, shopping for antiques and he loved to fish. He was an avid fisherman and on the boat whenever he had a chance. He loved working in the yard and in his garden. Most of all he loved just spending quality time with his family and friends.
Glynn was preceded in death by his Father Dick Carter, (Mother) Terresa, Brother Terrell, Sister Janice, and Brother Keith.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Mrs. Brenda Carter, Daughter Mindy Smith (Troy), Son Charles Carter (Lauren) Grandchildren Reagan, Lila, Colton and Gunner.
Glynn will be deeply missed but fondly remembered, his memory will forever remain a blessing to those who knew him.
A visitation for Glynn will be held Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM followed by committal at Hardage Giddens Chapel Hills Memory Garden.
