Guy Y Silver

Born on September 25, 1939, in Wheeler County, Georgia, Guy was the son of Hines Vickes Silver and Anna Lee Owens Silver. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for 12 years.

On December 28, 1963, Guy married the love of his life, Earlene Silver. He was a high school graduate and went on to work for the U.S. Army and Jacksonville Coach Company. He later worked a a small engine mechanic, a role that showcased his skill and dedication.

Guy had a love for life that extended into many interest. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, working out at the gym, and was a proud member of the sheriff's Watch. He also likes western movies, boxing, and watching Gator athletics. He took pride in keeping things in good working order and valued discipline and organization. Guy was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Earlene Silver, and his three children Christophe (Michelle) Silver of Norfolk, UK, Christelle Silver, and Michael (Michelle) Silver of Jacksonville, FL. He also leaves behind a stepson, Lawrence R. Grier of Jacksonville, FL and one sister Arlene Cameron of Byron, Georgia, Additionally, Guy was a proud grandfather of three cherished grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brother William R. Silver and his sister Glenda L. Buttrom.

Services will be held at Shindler Drive Baptist Church 7100 Shindler Drive Jacksonville, FL 32222 on May 12, 2025. Visitation 10:30AM, Service 11:00 AM followed by a reception. Flowers can be sent to Shindler Drive Baptist Church.
