

Hank Sheffield, 67, passed away Monday, September 19, 2016 in Middleburg, FL. He was born January 31, 1949 to Ms. Lillian Davis in Douglas, GA. Hank was the world’s best handyman and was a Mr. Fix It. He loved to hunt with the dogs and go fishing. Hank was a Shriner and member of the Masons and he served in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict. He retired from Metal Containers (Anheuser Busch) after 30 plus years of service. He touched everyone’s heart and to him everyone was special. Hank is preceded in death by two sons, Ricky Sheffield and Charles Sheffield. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Myrl, one daughter Christie (Glenn) Trella, one son Keith (Julie) Sorrells, his dad Artis Allen, eight siblings Edie (Roger), Allen, David A. (Georgeanne), Darrell (Julie), Debbie (Tim), Bo (Athena), David T., Darlene (Phillip), four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation for friends will be held in the chapel of Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL on Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 11am-1pm. Funeral services to begin at 1pm with interment at Riverside Memorial Park following funeral services. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Wounded Warrior project or to the Shriners Organization.
