Mr. Harley Stubblefield, Jr., age 81, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on May 24, 2019 at Consulate Health Care in Orange Park, Florida. Harley was born in Rosenberg, Texas to the late Harley Sr. and Ruth Stubblefield. He joined the United States Navy after graduating from high school where he proudly served for 20 years and retired as a Chief Petty Officer. He then worked for NADEP at NAS Jacksonville then later as a Bridge Tender for FDT Services/DOT until the end of 2015. He loved life as well as playing golf and was an active member of the local VFW Post 7909, Fleet Reserve Association and Elks Club.
Harley was preceded in death by his father Harley Stubblefield, Sr., mother Ruth Stubblefield, sister Joy Goree and his son Michael Stubblefield. He is survived by his wife Barbara (Bonnie) Stubblefield, brother Thomas Stubblefield of Richmond, Texas, sister Karen Stubblefield of Alpine, Texas, 2 daughters, Janine Howard of Alpharetta, Georgia and Lisa Whitehead of Lawtey, Florida as well as 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A service will be forth coming to honor Harley Stubblefield, Jr. at the Jacksonville National Cemetery on Lannie Road in Jacksonville, Florida.
