Harold Lee Beaty, 81, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 1, 2015. He was born September 16, 1933 in Perry, Florida to Carl Lee and Evelyn (Davis) Beaty. Harold was a veteran of the United States Navy and was member for 25 years at New Life Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending many hours writing poetry, fishing, and tinkering with his hands building and repairing things. He will be missed dearly by his loving wife of 48 years Marie Beaty; son Daron Beaty and wife Jan; brother Lazarus Beaty and wife Linda. Family will receive friends and family at 9:00- 10:00 am Thursday, May 7, 2015 at New Life Baptist Church, 6680 Seaboard Ave, Jacksonville, FL 32244. Funeral Services will follow the visitation at the church at 10:00 am. Interment will be 1:30 pm at Jacksonville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made in Harold’s honor to New Life Baptist Church.
