

Harry M. Stephens, 91, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017. He worked at NAS Jax Civil Service as a mechanic for 36 ½ years and served 4 years in the National Guard. Mr. Stephens was a long-time member of Murray Hill Baptist Church having volunteered as kitchen help and cook, drove the bus for the Senior Group and was a Royal Ambassador Leader for the boy’s group. He and JoeAnne drove and camped through in 49 states. He was an avid fisherman; fishing mostly for Snooks, Reds, Trout and was an avid hunter and camper. Mr. Stephens was a 32nd degree Mason. Mr. Stephens is survived by his loving wife of 67 years JoeAnn Stephens; son, Marvin “Merv” (Kim) Stephens; daughter, Harriet Hice; four grandchildren, Brian Hice (Theresa), Kelly (Cy) DeAngelis, Adam Stephens & Nolan Stephens; one great-grandson, Cy DeAngelis Jr.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Murray Hill Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior the service. Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida or Murray Hill Baptist Church.
