On November 15, 2025, Hazel, 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by family in the comfort of her home. Born March 1, 1938, in Louisville, Kentucky, Hazel lived a life defined by love, resilience and devotion to her family. Hazel was the heart of the
Kendall family. She shared 54 years of marriage with her beloved husband, James, who passed in 2009. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, faith, and the kind of love that endures even after loss. Hazel's journey was marked by both joy and sorrow. She carried the memories of her children Paul (widow Alicia), Carl (widow Jacqueline), and her granddaughter Rachel, who all passed before her. Though her heart knew grief, Hazel's strength and grace never wavered. She leaves behind a cherished family who will carry her memory forward: Her sons Mark and John. Grandchildren: Matthew (wife Tiffany), Jeremy (wife Sarah), Daniel (Keri), Jessica (husband Nate) and her numerous great-grandchildren. Hazel's greatest joy was her family. She cherished every visit, every phone call, and every hug from her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends. She was the kind of woman who always had time to listen, who remembered the little things, and who made each person feel uniquely loved. Her family will remember her gentle humor, her warm smile, and the way she made holidays and everyday moments feel special. Hazel's life was not defined by the losses she endured, but by the love she gave - a love that will continue to ripple through generations. A private service will be held, and Hazel will be laid to rest beside James, reunited with those she loved so deeply. Hazel Dean Kendall's story is one of devotion, strength, and endless love. Her family takes comfort in
knowing that her spirit lives in each of them, and that her memory will forever be a blessing.
