Helen Anna Binns

Helen was born in Brooksville, FL to Clarence and Estelle Ward. She and her mother moved to Georgia, and eventually settled in Folkston, GA when Helen was a young teenager. After marrying, she and her husband moved to Jacksonville, FL. She remained in the same home for 67 years. Health issues caused her to seek other living conditions.

Helen was a loyal wife, loving mother, and doting Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She filled her time with family and friends. Never too busy to talk. Never too busy to enjoy a cup of coffee with friends. She was a long time member of Lake Shore United Methodist Church (NKA Lake Shore Family Fellowship). She spent hours volunteering at Church and at Bayview Elementary School when her daughters attended. So many hours spent at Bayview, that students assumed she worked there.

She is survived by daughters Marla (Jerry) Walker and Karen (Paul) Rogero; Granddaughters Melissa Rogero and Stefanie (Jason) Midgett; Great Grandchildren Leah, Noah and Sadie. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and friends who felt like family.

Services honoring her life will be held Tuesday August 17, 2021 at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home on Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL. The service will be held at 10:00am with Visitation held one hour prior. Flowers are welcome, however donations may be made to your favorite charity in Helen's name. The wearing of masks would be appreciated.

A visitation for Helen will be held Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
