Helen Bryant Lynn

A Life Well Lived

Helen B. Lynn of Jacksonville, Florida died peacefully in her sleep on December 1, 2018 at the age of 96. She was born on September 2, 1922 in Kissimmee, Florida, the daughter of J. M. Bryant and Agnes Roland Bryant. Helen worked many jobs over the years including a fruit packing plant in Kissimmee and Fitzgeralds, a retail outlet operated by Seaboard Coastline Railroad (Jacksonville) where she met her husband, Bobby R. Lynn (now deceased). After having children, she continued to work at various places including the Maxwell House Coffee Company until her retirement. Helen was a faithful member of University Baptist Church and is certified by the Florida State Genealogical Society as a Florida Pioneer Descendant of James Yates Sr., who settled in Florida before March 3, 1845 on which date Florida was admitted as a state.

Helen was a wonderful mother and a beloved and devoted grandmother. She is survived by her children (spouse), Cynthia (Steve) and Robert; grandchildren, Adam, Rachel, Shawn (Heather) and Heather (Jimmy); great grandchildren, Tulsa Rose and Brantley; and many beloved nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

A celebration of her life / service will be held at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Chris Pruitt officiating. (Public viewing begins at 1:00 p.m.)
