She was born March 17, 1927 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Carl Treece and late Minnie Kritzky Treece. She worked most of her life as a cashier at Sear’s and Roebuck. She was predeceased by her husband, Garfield “Pete” Powers.
She is survived by daughter, Sharon Powers Dennis; son, John Lee (Cheri) Powers; grandsons, Scott (Wendy) Dennis, Matt Dennis and John S. (Jamie) Powers; granddaughters, Dawn (Gary) Daly, Stephanie (Rusty Philpott) Dennis, Heather Thomas and Megan Powers; 10 great-grandchildren and brother, Gordon “Boots” (Bobbie) Treece.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Chapel Hills Funeral Home & Cemetery, 850 St. Johns Bluff Road N. Jacksonville, FL 32225.
