
Born on July 19, 1967, in Malden, Massachusetts, Jackie was the beloved son of the late Herbert John Cavalear, Sr., and Catherine A. Cavalear. He later made his home in Jacksonville, Florida, where he spent many years building his life and career.
Jackie was educated at Jeff Davis Middle School and worked as a plastic machine operator with Hilex Poly. He was known for his strong work ethic and dependable nature.
Above all, Jackie loved his family. He also had a deep compassion for animals, especially cats. He was well-known for rescuing and feeding homeless cats whenever possible. In his quieter moments, Jackie enjoyed reading books and watching his favorite television show, "How It's Made," as well as cheering on Dale Earnhardt Sr.
Jackie is survived by his loving sister Theresa Lucey and husband Joe of Medford, Massachusetts; his brothers, Robert Cavalear and his wife Annmarie of Woburn, Massachusetts, and David Cavalear of Jacksonville, Florida. He is also survived by his cherished niece, Rachael Lucey of New Hampshire; nephews, Ryan Lucey of Massachusetts and Kyle Cavalear of Jacksonville, Florida. He is further survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert J. Cavalear Sr., and his mother, Catherine A. Cavalear.
Jackie will be remembered for his kindness, gentle heart, love for family, and the quiet compassion he showed to both people and animals throughout his life.
