Holly M. Williams finished her long battle with cancer on December 9, 2017. She Never Quit! Holly was a true native of Jacksonville and graduated from Stanton College Preparatory School. She worked as a Youth Minister for various local churches, and most recently worked at Riverside Presbyterian Day School in the afternoon program. She was a talented singer and enjoyed leading praise and worship; she taught the middle and high school students about the abundance of God’s love and grace. She continued in her faith even after being diagnosed with cancer. She enjoyed gardening, singing, and cooking along with playing guitar, but her greatest joy came from being a mother. She was preceded by her grandparents, Robert and Kitty Bassett, and Wallace Harmon and Mary Farha, and numerous great aunts and great uncles. She is survived by her husband, Steven Williams and daughter Abigail; and her father, Robert (Bob) Bassett and mother Heather Stockton; her sister Jessica Deguzman, and brothers Jack Bassett and Craig Bassett, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Grace Church of Avondale at 6:00 p.m.
