Ila Jean Andrews

Jean Andrews, 72, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017. She was born May 5, 1944 to Ernest and Stella Mae Millikin in Jacksonville, FL. As an adult, Jean professed her faith in Jesus Christ and became an active member of Westside Baptist Church, where she faithfully served in the children’s ministry. She retired from National Linen in the nineties and was working at TechX when she passed. In her later years, she served and attended Hillcrest Baptist Church with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Stella Mae, step mom Frances Millikin, loving husband James Andrews, Sr., sisters’ Shelbie Jean and Shirley, and brothers’ Kenneth, Ernest (Bubba), and Daniel. As a result of her generous spirit and kind personality, she was loved by many. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by her children: Sherry, Haley, Angela, Sharon, Laura, Bruce, David, and Alan; Her grandchildren: Ryan, Spencer, Nathan, Joshua, Jennifer, Tressa, Carol, Jonny, David Jr., Brenda, Victoria, Kelly, Benjamin, and Sami Jean; Sisters: Patricia, Teresa, and Denise. She also had 16 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great Grandchildren, and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, and friends. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 7673 Collins Rd., Jacksonville, Florida.
