Iva LaVerne Bozeman

Iva LaVerne Newbold Bozeman, 89 passed away on November 21, 2018 with her family by her side. She was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville and member of Jones Road Baptist Church. She was the daughter of Rosalie and Clem Newbold and born on January 25, 1929.

LaVerne is survived by her husband Perry "Bob" Bozeman. After 74 years of marriage she still called him the love of her life. She is also survived by her children: Linda Joyce Crosier (Michael), Danny Bozeman and Brenda Frizzell (Steve); grandchildren Christopher Bozeman (Danielle), Benjamin Bozeman (Amie), and Lauren Maiello (Anthony); and her great grandchildren, Madison, Lily, Ronan and Nathan. She was predeceased by her son Donny; sister, Lucille Stafford; and brother Leonard Newbold.

LaVerne was the foundation of her family. Her happiness in life came from the joy of her family. She was the happiest being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed travel with her family and her friends Floyd and Betty. She had a passion for Gator football and enjoyed life. She loved the Lord and knew He was her savior.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 12:00 - 1:00pm, funeral services will begin at 1:00pm with graveside to follow.
